David Baldacci was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated from Henrico High School with a B.A. He holds a degree in Political Science from the Commonwealth University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor at the Virginia Law College. Then moved to Washington D.C. Studied law for nine years. Baldacci is of Italian descent in Baga, Tuscany.
Baldacci began writing stories at an early age when his mother gave him a notebook. He wrote short stories for more than two decades, and later screenplays were not so successful.
He turned to write novels while studying law, and it took him three years to write ”Absolute Power”. Launched in 1996, it is one of the best-selling books internationally. To date, Baldacci has published over 40 best-selling novels for adults and seven novels for young adults.
