Charles John Huffam Dickens FRSA (18 February 7 – 9 June 1870) was an English writer and social commentator. He created several world-famous fictional characters and is considered by many to be the greatest novelist of the Victorian era. His works gained unprecedented popularity during his lifetime, and by the 20th century, he was recognized by scholars and critics as a literary genius. His short stories novels and are still widely read.

Born in Portsmouth, Dickens dropped out of the school to work in a factory while his father was imprisoned in debt. Despite his lack of formal education, he edited a weekly magazine for 20 years, writing 15 novels, five novels, hundreds of short stories and hundreds of non-fiction articles. Extensive lectures and readings were made. Rights, education and other social reforms.

Dickens’ literary success began in 1836 with a series of publications in the Pickwick Papers. Within a few years, he became an international writer. He became famous for his humour, satire, and close observation of character and society. His novels, many of which were published monthly or weekly in instalments, were the pioneers of the serial publication of narrative fiction and became the leading Victorian style of new publishing. The end of Cliffhanger’s series of publications left readers sceptical. The premium format allowed Dickens to appreciate his audience response, and he often changed his plot and character development based on such feedback. For example, when Ms Moucher of David Copperfield expressed his wife’s chiropodist grief about how her disability reflected her, Dickens improved the character with positive traits. His plots are carefully constructed, and he often incorporated the elements of the title events into his narratives. The ignorant poor people will pay in part to read every new monthly episode.
