Anne Rice was born on October 4, 1941, is an American author of Gothic fiction, Christian literature, and pornography. She is best known for her role in the Vampire Chronicles series, which revolves around the central character, Lestat. Two adaptations of the film were also the subject of Vampire Chronicles – Interview with Vampire (1994) and Queen of the Damned (2002).
Born in New Orleans, Rice spent most of his early life moving to Texas and then to San Francisco. She grew up in a Catholic family, but as a young adult became an atheist. She began her writing career in 1976 with the publication of an interview with a vampire while living in California. He began writing successors to the novel in the 1980s. After his conversion to Catholicism in the mid-2000s, Rice published his novels. The Christ Beyond Egypt and the Lord of the Christ: The Road to Cana. A few years later, she distanced with organized Christianity, citing her disagreement with the church’s position on social issues, but promised that faith in God would be “central to her life. However, she considers herself a secular humanist now.
